Day one kicks off with climbing the legendary Gotthard Pass (2'103 meters above sea level), where every turn brings a piece of history and breathtaking views.

Next, the Lukmanier Pass offers a quieter rhythm (5% average gradient over 40 kilometers), with its landscapes providing a moment of calm amidst the challenge. The day peaks with a spectacular 10-kilometer descent from Oberalp Pass down to Andermatt.
